Have a research network

Regardless of which research area you are in, the level of success in your Ph.D. depends on your networking. The best way to build a network is by attending local and international events such as graduate school sessions, lab meetings, seminars, and conferences. These events help you build both social and professional relationships.

Ph.D. entails a lot of writing, researching, reading, and a lot of long hours. Such pressures can lead to increased levels of stress on top of the imposter syndrome. You must regularly check your physical, emotional, and mental state of mind. You should be open about your concerns and worries, and you should never feel like you are on your own.
